Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager will implement strategic communication plans, develop media resources, and cultivate relationships with journalists in a flexible, home-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year strategic communication plans for scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Secure earned media coverage and establish relationships with journalists to enhance the Association's visibility in cardiovascular and brain health
• Supervise and mentor team members while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize communication efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing and editing, particularly in translating scientific research for public audiences
• Five years of experience managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
