Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager will implement strategic communication plans, develop media materials, and cultivate relationships with journalists in a flexible, home-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year strategic communication plans for scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Create news releases, media pitches, and multimedia assets to promote scientific research and the Association's initiatives
• Supervise team members and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance communication efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing and editing scientific content for public consumption
• Five years of experience in media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, including managing multiple projects concurrently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
