Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support strategic communication efforts, the full-time Senior Communications Manager will implement multi-year plans promoting scientific research and clinical guidelines while working remotely and managing relationships with journalists to secure media coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication plans for promoting scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Secure earned media coverage and cultivate relationships with journalists to enhance the Association's visibility
• Supervise team members and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize communication strategies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five (5) years of experience in writing, editing, and translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five (5) years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five (5) years of project management experience, including handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
