Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will develop and implement strategic communication plans, secure media coverage, and cultivate relationships with journalists while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop news releases and media materials to promote scientific research and clinical guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize communication strategies and amplify the Association's mission
• Supervise and mentor team members while managing multiple projects and deadlines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing, editing, and translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, including handling multiple projects concurrently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
