Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will implement strategic communication plans, develop media materials, and cultivate relationships with journalists in a flexible, home-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year strategic communication plans for scientific publications and clinical guidelines
• Create news releases, media pitches, and multimedia assets to promote scientific research and the Association's initiatives
• Supervise team members and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance communication efforts and media outreach

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five (5) years of experience in writing, editing, and translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five (5) years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five (5) years of project management experience, including handling multiple concurrent projects
• Five (5) years of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
