Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager will develop and implement strategic communication plans, manage media relations, and cultivate relationships with journalists in a flexible remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop news releases and media materials to promote scientific research and clinical guidelines
• Secure earned media coverage and establish relationships with journalists to enhance the Association's visibility
• Supervise and mentor team members while collaborating with internal and external partners on communication strategies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing, editing, and translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, handling multiple projects concurrently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
