Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To promote scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will implement strategic communication plans, develop media resources, and secure earned media coverage while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop news releases and media materials to promote scientific research and guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize communications and amplify the Association's mission
• Supervise and mentor team members while managing relationships with journalists to secure media coverage

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing, editing, and translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, handling multiple projects concurrently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
