Senior Communications Specialist

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Specialist supporting the VA's Center for Care and Payment Innovation (CCPI), the role focuses on planning and executing strategic communications and engagement activities within the federal healthcare ecosystem, including developing Congressional materials and executive presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Congressional briefing materials and testimony support documents to communicate CCPI program goals to legislative audiences
• Design and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy that aligns communication approaches with VA transformation objectives
• Produce executive-grade presentations and decision memoranda for senior federal officials, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment with program priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in government or healthcare communications and stakeholder engagement
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Political Science, or a related field
• Experience working with federal agencies or healthcare systems, particularly in legislative affairs or executive communications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential and pass a VA background investigation
• Proven track record in developing Congressional briefing packages and SES-level communications products
