Job Summary

To support a mission-driven organization in higher education, the full-time Senior Communications Writer will develop and deliver audience-centered messaging for stakeholders, including counselors, members, and students, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, write, and edit newsletters, announcements, and other communications to engage and inspire diverse audiences
  • Translate complex information into clear and accessible narratives tailored to specific stakeholder needs
  • Manage editorial calendars and ensure messaging consistency across multiple platforms while analyzing engagement metrics for content optimization
Required qualifications
  • 4-6 years of experience in communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience producing audience-specific communications, such as newsletters and campaign emails
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, CRM systems, and digital publishing tools
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes deadlines and coordinate complex projects independently
