Senior Compliance Analyst

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Compliance Analyst to work remotely on a full-time basis, this role will manage day-to-day compliance responsibilities for Shopify's financial products, contribute to the development of the compliance program, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency using AI and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day compliance activities, including testing, monitoring, reporting, and responding to partner requests
• Collaborate to grow and streamline the compliance program in alignment with Shopify's risk profile
• Develop and maintain compliance policies and documentation, addressing gaps to ensure effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Foundational experience in compliance, audit, risk, or a related function with exposure to financial services, fintech, or payments
• Proven track record in compliance monitoring, testing, and audit activities
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities
• Ability to quickly learn new regulatory frameworks and become productive independently
• Experience with AI or automation tools to enhance compliance workflows
