Senior Component Design Engineer

Job Summary

Senior Component Design Engineer, a contract position that involves designing reactor structures and components, coordinating with engineering teams, and performing analysis and calculations, with remote work options available.

Key Responsibilities

• Design solutions for reactor structures and components from requirements through final design
• Coordinate inputs and requirements from Engineering and Project teams to develop design solutions
• Perform scoping analysis and calculations, and interface with engineering analysis activities

Required Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience with equipment and component design, familiar with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III
• Experience writing detailed design specifications and knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and tools like ANSYS
• Familiarity with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
