Senior Component Design Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Component Design Engineer will design solutions for reactor structures and components, coordinate project requirements, and perform scoping analysis and calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Design solutions for reactor structures and components, including rotatable plug assembly equipment
• Coordinate inputs from Engineering and Project teams to develop design solutions
• Assess technical merits of solutions and lead design reviews

Required qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience with equipment and component design, familiar with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III
• Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and tools like ANSYS
• Experience writing detailed design specifications
• Familiarity with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
