Senior Compute Engineer
Job Summary
Prototyping and integrating novel approaches to GPU-accelerated distributed data processing, the full-time Senior Compute Engineer will develop advanced compression methods and optimize complex data-intensive workloads while collaborating with industry experts and influencing next-generation hardware and software designs, with opportunities for remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Prototype and integrate innovative solutions in dataframe analytics and advanced compression methods
- Collaborate with technical experts to analyze and optimize performance of heterogeneous GPU/CPU architectures
- Influence the design of future hardware architectures and software in partnership with various teams at NVIDIA
Required qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant work or research experience in systems or complex projects
- Hands-on experience with low-level parallel programming (e.g., CUDA, OpenMP)
- Fluency in C/C++ and strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Domain expertise in data processing, compression, and high-performance distributed databases
