Senior Computer Operator

Job Summary

To support operational efficiency, the full-time Senior Assistant Computer Operator will enter commands on various computing equipment, set up and maintain peripheral devices, and monitor system performance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Enters commands and sets up peripheral equipment to facilitate production
• Monitors computer and peripheral equipment for errors, implementing standard procedures for routine issues
• Maintains an audit trail of job activities and procures necessary operational supplies

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• One or more years of technical training in computer operations or related field preferred
• Two or more years of computer operation experience
• Experience with systems infrastructure, including hardware configuration and operating systems
• Familiarity with system job control language and computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
