Senior Construction Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist will adjudicate complex construction defect claims, conduct detailed investigations, and report on claims trends, with the flexibility to work remotely or from various office locations across the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims with high technical complexity and significant impact on departmental results
• Conduct detailed investigations and analyses of claims, including interviewing involved parties and managing claims in litigation
• Prepare reports for documentation and negotiate complex settlement packages to achieve cost-effective resolutions

Required qualifications

• A minimum of seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in commercial general liability claims
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions or ability to obtain necessary licenses within three months of hire
• Strong claim negotiation skills and understanding of claims reserving techniques
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent written and verbal communication skills
