Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Consulting Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make underwriting recommendations and decisions to protect financial assets
- Evaluate risk acceptability and set appropriate rates and factor levels
- Establish and maintain producer relationships while meeting company goals for profitability and growth
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
- Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Preferred certifications: Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in Medical Stop Loss Underwriting
- Strong proficiency in medical terminology and ability to interpret complex documents
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and relationship-building skills
