Senior Contract Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Contract SME II to provide support for the procurement of goods and services for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear and comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and Task/Delivery Orders
• Perform market research and analyze trends to support procurement decisions
• Draft and prepare contractual documents and review procurement documents for accuracy and completeness

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of Federal contracting experience, with 10+ years in construction or specialized service fields
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Certification: Legacy Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) II, III, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), or FAC-C (Professional)
• At least two years of experience procuring supplies and/or services using FAR 15 Procedures (highly preferred)
• Experience with formal source selection and price analysis techniques (highly preferred)
