Senior Controls Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of automated material handling equipment, the remote contract Senior Controls Engineer will manage project support, control system design, and technical optimization within the Supply Chain Engineering department.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on-site commissioning, vendor specification reviews, and the creation of sequence of operations documents while maintaining project schedules
• Optimize and troubleshoot PLC programs, configure HMIs, RTUs, and SCADA systems, and perform control systems modeling and simulation
• Collaborate with Warehouse Control Systems teams for integration and technical support

Required qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in Control Systems
• Intermediate knowledge of ADC/DAC systems, MATLAB/Simulink, and computer networks
• Experience with Allen-Bradley platforms and industrial networks
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SCADA systems, and programming in C/C++ and IEC-61131-3 languages
