Job Summary
Leading the design and implementation of control systems for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects, the full-time remote Senior Controls Engineer with PE License will develop control strategies, conduct testing and commissioning, and ensure compliance with technical standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain plant-level control logic for solar PV and BESS facilities, including active and reactive power control strategies
- Develop structured test plans and support testing environments for controller validation and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and develop comprehensive documentation for control designs and processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a closely related field
- 5+ years of controls engineering experience with utility-scale solar PV and/or BESS facilities
- Experience with IEC-61131-3 control logic development in platforms such as Codesys or Beckhoff TwinCAT
- Working knowledge of PSS/E or PSCAD for controller-level modeling and validation
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
