Job Summary

To support a large-scale website content initiative, the temporary remote Senior Copy Editor will edit, fact-check, and ensure quality assurance for high volumes of SEO articles and student-facing web content across multiple university brands.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and proofread SEO articles, web pages, FAQs, and other digital content for clarity and adherence to brand voice
• Verify facts and identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies before publication, ensuring compliance with legal and university guidelines
• Collaborate with writers and project managers to resolve editorial issues while meeting aggressive deadlines

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional editing experience in relevant fields such as marketing, publishing, or higher education
• Strong experience with both long-form articles and website content editing
• Exceptional proofreading and copyediting skills with expert knowledge of grammar and style
• Ability to identify content needing additional review or legal approval
• Experience in high-volume editorial environments with multiple concurrent deadlines
