Senior Corporate Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to support its accounting function and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Support the preparation of financial reports and analytics for leadership and improve report accessibility
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and assist in audits and grants accounting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a nonprofit setting
• Strong understanding of GAAP, fund accounting, and internal controls
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial report development in Power BI
• Ability to create accounting journals and make informed accounting decisions in accordance with US GAAP
