Senior Corporate Accountant

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Corporate Accountant to join the Benefitfocus Accounting Operations team, who will apply GAAP principles to review customer contracts, prepare journal entries, and analyze revenue information while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Contributes to financial close cycles, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Researches and prepares monthly financial reports and flux analyses
• Reviews customer contracts for proper setup and accounting treatment, and performs deferred revenue reconciliations

Required qualifications

• BA degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including ASC 606
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query a plus)
