Job Summary
Serving as a senior advisor on attorney ethics and professional responsibility matters, the full-time remote Senior Corporate Counsel - Ethics will manage complex ethics and conflicts issues, provide guidance on professional conduct across jurisdictions, and support the firm's ethics program operations.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on and handle sensitive professional responsibility matters, including conflicts of interest and compliance with ethical standards
- Conduct conflicts analysis for new business intake and lateral hiring, providing resolution strategies and drafting necessary documentation
- Identify ethics-related risks and trends, recommending updates to firm policies and collaborating with senior leadership on complex matters
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience focusing on attorney ethics, professional responsibility, and conflicts of interest in a large law firm or similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to research and apply rules of professional conduct to complex scenarios
- Experience advising on sensitive legal issues requiring professional judgment and discretion
- Proven capacity to operate independently while escalating high-risk issues to senior legal leadership as necessary
