Job Summary
Serving as a senior advisor on attorney ethics and professional responsibility matters, the full-time Senior Corporate Counsel - Ethics will provide guidance on applicable rules of conduct, manage conflicts of interest, and support ethics program operations in a remote capacity across the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on and handle sensitive professional responsibility matters, including competence, confidentiality, and conflicts of interest
- Conduct conflicts analysis for complex matters and advise on resolution strategies, including drafting conflict waiver letters and implementing ethical walls
- Monitor developments in ethics rules and recommend updates to firm policies while collaborating with senior leadership on complex matters
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience with a focus on attorney ethics and conflicts of interest in a large law firm environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex conflicts and provide practical guidance on resolution strategies
- Experience advising law firm leadership on sensitive issues requiring professional judgment and discretion
- Familiarity with lateral hire and global conflicts processes, and a willingness to leverage emerging technologies in legal practice
