Job Summary
Serving as a senior advisor on attorney ethics and professional responsibility matters, the full-time Senior Corporate Counsel - Ethics will provide guidance on compliance with professional conduct rules across jurisdictions while working remotely from any U.S. state where the company has an office.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on and manage sensitive professional responsibility matters, including competence, confidentiality, and conflicts of interest
- Conduct conflicts analysis for complex matters and oversee the drafting of conflict waiver letters and informed consent disclosures
- Monitor ethics-related risks and trends, recommending updates to firm policies and collaborating with senior leadership on complex issues
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience with a focus on attorney ethics and conflicts of interest in a large law firm environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex conflicts and provide practical guidance on resolution strategies
- Experience advising on sensitive legal issues requiring professional judgment and discretion
- Familiarity with lateral hire processes and the audit response letter process related to professional responsibility
