Job Summary
Serving as a senior advisor on attorney ethics and professional responsibility matters, the full-time Senior Corporate Counsel - Ethics will provide guidance across all jurisdictions where attorneys are licensed, while working remotely from any U.S. state with a designated office location.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on and handle sensitive professional responsibility matters, including conflicts of interest and compliance with applicable rules of professional conduct
- Conduct conflicts analysis for complex matters and draft related documentation, ensuring ethical compliance during onboarding and lateral hiring processes
- Identify emerging risks in ethics and conflicts, recommending updates to policies and collaborating with senior leadership on sensitive issues
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience focused on attorney ethics, conflicts of interest, or engagement risk in a large law firm environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex conflicts and provide clear, practical guidance
- Experience advising law firm leadership on sensitive issues requiring professional judgment and discretion
- Familiarity with lateral hire and global conflicts processes, including relevant professional responsibility rules
