Job Summary
Serving as a senior advisor on attorney ethics and professional responsibility matters, the full-time Senior Corporate Counsel - Ethics will provide guidance on compliance with professional conduct rules across multiple jurisdictions while working remotely from any U.S. state where the firm has an office.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on sensitive professional responsibility matters, including competence, confidentiality, and conflicts of interest
- Conduct conflicts analysis for complex matters and manage the ethics conflicts aspects of onboarding lateral attorneys
- Identify ethics-related risks and emerging trends, recommending updates to firm policies and providing training on ethics and conflicts
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in attorney ethics, professional responsibility, or conflicts of interest in a large law firm environment
- Demonstrated ability to research and apply professional conduct rules to complex scenarios
- Experience advising on sensitive legal issues requiring professional judgment and discretion
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters simultaneously
