Senior Cost Accountant

Job Summary

Managing test costing and inventory valuation, the full-time Senior Cost Accountant will ensure accurate financial postings of inventory-related transactions while collaborating remotely with Supply Chain and Operations teams to maintain compliance with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close activities related to inventory and cost of sales, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating variances and driving resolution with relevant teams
• Develop and maintain cost-per-test reporting and analyze testing/production costs to identify drivers and recommend corrective actions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with 1-2 years in a manufacturing or inventory-management environment
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting practices
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Strong understanding of supply chain workflows and their impact on financial results
