Senior Counsel
Job Summary
Providing direct legal support to mortgage and HELOC products, the full-time Senior Counsel will manage legal and regulatory issues, collaborate with outside counsel, and ensure compliance with applicable laws in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage legal, regulatory, and product issues related to mortgage and HELOC financial products
- Provide advice on debt collection, privacy, consumer credit compliance, and solar financing
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Required qualifications:
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Experience advising mortgage lenders, financial institutions, or fintechs on consumer credit lending issues
- Preferred experience with mortgage/HELOC products, legal issues, and consumer complaints
- Ability to manage a heavy workload in a high-pressure environment
- Strong judgment and proactive communication skills
