Senior Counsel, Capital Markets

Job Summary

Supporting the Capital Markets and Debt and Structured Finance (DSF) business, the full-time Senior Counsel, Capital Markets will provide legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management matters while collaborating with various teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee legal matters for CBRE DSF, including corporate governance, compliance, and risk management
• Advise on mortgage loan brokerage activities and negotiate client engagement letters and related documents
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while developing and implementing best practices

Required qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier ABA accredited law school
• Membership in applicable State Bar in good standing
• 7-10 years of private law firm practice and/or in-house transactional experience, particularly in commercial lending
• Experience with corporate and commercial transactions, including mortgage banking finance documentation
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
