Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Commercial.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee legal services for negotiating and enforcing offtake agreements for utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable projects
• Serve as legal lead on commercial matters, assisting in the negotiation and execution of project offtake and related agreements
• Enhance internal transaction processes and manage external counsel on commercial matters

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar licensure in at least one US jurisdiction
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in utility-scale battery energy storage and solar/hybrid offtake contracting
• Expertise in negotiating and executing physical tolls, virtual PPAs, and Resource Adequacy contracts
• Experience with master electric trading contracts and other hedging structures preferred
