Senior Counsel - Commercial (State Licensed)

Job Summary

Experienced commercial attorneys will find a fully remote opportunity as a Senior Counsel - Commercial (State Licensed), focusing on leading contracting support for sales transactions, managing commercial agreements, and collaborating cross-functionally to align business objectives with legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review, draft, and negotiate various commercial agreements for sales and procurement in a high-volume environment
• Serve as an escalation point for non-standard legal issues and partner with sales leadership to set deal strategies
• Lead commercial negotiations related to data privacy and security, and manage processes for the intake and approval of commercial agreements

Required qualifications

• BBA/BA/BS degree required
• JD required with an active license to practice law in a U.S. state or D.C
• 10+ years of experience in commercial law, with at least 5 years in in-house transactional legal support
• Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, particularly in SaaS contracting
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and projects
