Senior Counsel, Data Privacy (US Licensed)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Data Privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide risk-based, business-oriented legal advice on data protection, AI, and cybersecurity issues across the US and Americas
• Develop and implement AI governance and privacy compliance programs, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed privacy and security measures in product development and operations

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. legal qualification and active license to practice in at least one US jurisdiction
• 8 years of experience in-house or in private practice focusing on technology, data, and privacy issues
• Strong knowledge of US federal and state privacy laws and their intersection with financial services regulation
• Experience advising on AI legal requirements and governance best practices
• Proven ability to partner with technical teams to translate legal requirements into practical solutions
