Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time Senior Counsel, Government Contracts will manage complex federal government contracting, negotiate agreements, and provide legal guidance remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead negotiation and management of various government agreements, including federal contracts and subcontracts
- Advise business teams on compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other federal contracting requirements throughout the contract lifecycle
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape bid strategies and ensure successful program execution
Required qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials
- 8+ years of relevant legal experience in federal government contracting, preferably with a top-tier law firm or defense contractor
- Significant experience negotiating complex federal government contracts and subcontracts
- Expertise in FAR and DFARS, with meaningful experience in Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs)
- Working knowledge of intellectual property and data rights issues related to government contracts
