Senior Counsel - Multifamily Housing Finance

Job Summary

Providing strategic legal leadership on complex multifamily housing finance transactions, the remote Senior Counsel - Multifamily Housing Finance will manage tax-exempt bond structures and credit enhancement arrangements while advising business stakeholders and ensuring legal excellence in a fast-paced environment for a duration of 3-4 months with potential for extension or conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for multifamily housing finance transactions, including tax-exempt bonds and credit enhancement structures
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents such as loan agreements and disclosure materials
• Advise business teams on complex deal structures, regulatory requirements, and emerging product initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) required
• 10+ years of experience in multifamily housing finance
• Experience with tax-exempt bond transactions and negotiating legal documents
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
• Experience managing outside counsel and driving process improvements in legal workflows
