Senior Counsel - Privacy and Cybersecurity

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel specializing in Data Governance, Privacy, and Cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on legal, regulatory, and policy questions related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts concerning privacy, cybersecurity, and AI issues
• Assess and mitigate harms associated with privacy and cybersecurity incidents

Required Qualifications and Education

• 5-7 years of legal experience focusing on privacy, data governance, and cybersecurity
• Graduate of an accredited law school and in good standing with a US state bar
• Prior in-house experience with multinational companies is preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare-related laws and regulations, particularly HIPAA
• Possession of relevant certifications in privacy, AI, or information security is preferred
