Senior Counsel Product Regulation
Job Summary
To support the legal and regulatory framework for Docusign's regulated verticals, the full-time remote Senior Counsel Product Regulation will own the verticals thesis, define regulatory defensibility for agreement records, and serve as the subject matter expert for product legal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own the verticals thesis and translate regulatory requirements into product and engineering specifications
- Develop reusable positions and guidance on compliance issues for regulated markets such as Real Estate, Health and Life Sciences, and Financial Services
- Collaborate with commercial legal and privacy teams on customer deal commitments and streamline compliance question routing
Required qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in at least one US jurisdiction with 8+ years of relevant experience
- Experience advising product and engineering teams in a regulated technology environment
- Proven track record of translating regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications
- Expertise in at least one regulated vertical such as health and life sciences, financial services, or payments
