Senior Coverage Counsel
Job Summary
Providing legal counsel to the claims organization, the full-time Senior Coverage Counsel will research and deliver legal opinions on coverage issues related to various insurance policies, while working remotely or from the Worcester, MA office.
Key responsibilities
- Research and provide legal advice on coverage issues arising from insurance contracts, including auto and general liability
- Prepare actionable coverage opinions for high complexity/exposure claims
- Collaborate with claim handlers and other departments to develop strategies for resolving coverage disputes and improving insurance products
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in relevant jurisdictions
- Significant experience in insurance coverage law
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, particularly in liability and property coverage
- Experience in managing litigation related to coverage disputes
