Senior Credit Risk Analyst

Job Summary

Owning complex investigations, the full-time Senior Credit Risk Analyst will analyze merchant accounts, make mitigation decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance risk management tools and policies in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and investigate complex merchant accounts, analyzing various activities to make appropriate mitigation decisions
• Own escalated investigations for high-value and high-visibility merchants, communicating directly with them to address concerns
• Monitor portfolio trends and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to improve risk detection and mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in risk analysis or underwriting within financial services, particularly in digital payments or e-commerce
• Deep knowledge of merchant credit risk, with the ability to assess and connect multiple signals for effective risk mitigation
• Experience with high-risk business models such as pre-sales, dropshipping, or subscriptions
• Proficiency in spreadsheet tools like MS Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to develop and deploy risk policies and detection rules at scale
