Senior Curation Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Curation Scientist to join their team in a fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Oncology Data Curation team to design data structures for oncology testing data
• Interpret diagnostic test results and develop mappings for data integration
• Curate and manage large oncology data sets while ensuring high data quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, or related discipline with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
• 1+ year of experience in bioinformatics, information integration, or knowledge modeling
• 1+ year of experience with next generation sequencing (NGS) datasets
• 1+ year of experience using bioinformatics resources such as NCBI Entrez Gene or PubMed
• Familiarity with clinical data standards such as HL7 and FHIR
