Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance security measures, the full-time Senior Cyber Security Engineer will develop and maintain threat detection capabilities, respond to security incidents, and manage security tools in a hybrid environment, either in Pittsburgh, PA or remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop new cyber detections for threats using SIEM and other security tools
• Automate processes for triaging security incidents and incident response
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents to mitigate findings

Required qualifications:

• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk or Elastic
• Threat hunting experience across various environments including endpoint and network
• Proficiency with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools like Crowdstrike or Microsoft Defender
• Thorough understanding of security best practices for MacOS, Linux, and Windows
• Experience in developing and automating incident response policies
