Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure the security and integrity of the FedNow organization, the full-time Senior Cyber Security Engineer will develop automated security solutions, support security investigations, and build tools for proactive threat hunting, all while working remotely within the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop code to automate security configuration management and deploy cybersecurity solutions
• Support security investigations through data analysis and build tooling for proactive threat hunting
• Lead cyber incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, and recovery

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with cloud computing technology and security best practices
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, AWS, or AZURE
• Proven experience as a Cyber Incident Response Analyst/Engineer with senior-level responsibilities
