Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the detection, analysis, and prevention of cyber security events, the remote Senior Cyber Security Engineer will enhance the organization's threat response capabilities through technical analysis, incident investigation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Detect, investigate, and respond to cyber security events using log analysis and threat intelligence
• Design and develop detection rules to improve signal fidelity and reduce false positives
• Automate investigative and detection processes using Python and scripting tools

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in cyber security, threat detection, and analysis
• Strong experience with Python scripting, automation, and AI tools
• Experience working with large-scale datasets in tools such as Splunk
• Experience in financial services or brokerage environments preferred
