Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a technical lead in a remote capacity, the Senior Cyber Security Engineer will own architecture decisions and enhance security capabilities by leveraging AI tools to prototype detection logic, validate system integrity, and collaborate with engineering teams on security architecture reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling and security design discussions, translating risks into engineering actions
• Collaborate with product engineering to review security architecture for new features, focusing on data exposure and access control
• Mentor engineers on leveraging AI for security tasks and build reusable playbooks for security practices

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in security engineering or infrastructure security roles, particularly in cloud environments
• Deep understanding of AWS architecture services and identity/access management
• Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Go, with proficiency in Git and infrastructure automation
• Experience deploying security controls via Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with security tooling integration for SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management
