Senior Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Summary

To support a growing Cybersecurity Professional Services practice, the remote Senior Cybersecurity Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership, providing guidance on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), and leading client engagements focused on security assessments and compliance readiness against various frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements involving gap assessments, control implementation support, and compliance readiness for frameworks such as NIST and CMMC
• Develop and present assessment findings, risk register updates, and remediation roadmaps to client stakeholders
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to business development and proposal efforts as the practice expands

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Assurance and Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or advisory services
• Extensive knowledge of GRC frameworks and experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) regulations
• Experience supporting CMMC readiness or ISO management system implementation
• One or more relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or a CMMC certification
