Senior Cybersecurity Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Senior Cybersecurity Data Engineer, the successful candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Data Platform and Lakehouse Architecture, focusing on designing and optimizing a centralized data lakehouse ecosystem while ensuring compliance and governance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise Data Lake/Lakehouse ecosystem on AWS
• Define standards for storage formats, partition strategies, and data optimization to enhance performance and reduce costs
• Architect and enforce global data governance and security measures across the data platform

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering or data architecture with a focus on large-scale enterprise data lakes
• Expertise in open-table formats such as Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
• Advanced knowledge of AWS data stack, including AWS EMR, Athena, and Lake Formation
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CDK
• Strong understanding of modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or AWS Redshift
