Job Summary
Focused on embedding NIST-based security controls into system architectures, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will engineer, implement, and validate security measures while enabling continuous monitoring and automated authorization aligned to RMF.
Key responsibilities
- Integrate NIST SP 800-53 security controls into system architectures and applications as part of the SDLC
- Design and implement continuous monitoring capabilities to validate control effectiveness using system telemetry
- Support RMF lifecycle activities, including control selection, implementation, assessment, and authorization
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience
- 5 years of experience supporting compliance or cybersecurity reporting (e.g., FISMA, RMF)
- 5 years of experience implementing and validating NIST SP 800-53 controls within systems
- 3 years of experience supporting RMF and ATO processes with hands-on control implementation
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability (EOD) and have active Secret or above clearance
