Senior Cybersecurity Operations Analyst
Job Summary
Providing program management and technical cybersecurity support, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Operations Analyst will plan, implement, operate, monitor, and report on cybersecurity activities to enhance the security posture of the Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration information systems in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity and Information Assurance expertise to support the Agency's Security Program and incident-handling activities
- Assist with vulnerability detection and remediation strategies while supporting secure application development and DevSecOps implementation
- Maintain cybersecurity documentation and coordinate with functional teams for audits and evaluations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in security operations, vulnerability management, or offensive security domains
- Current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
- Knowledge of Federal cybersecurity laws, regulations, and NIST guidelines
- Experience with risk-management tools and security audit-log monitoring
