Senior Cybersecurity Researcher

Job Summary

Joining the Cobalt Strike team, the full-time remote Senior Cybersecurity Researcher will conduct hands-on research into modern attacker tradecraft and collaborate with engineers to develop practical product capabilities for adversary simulation.

Key responsibilities

• Research modern adversary tactics and techniques, focusing on post-exploitation tradecraft and endpoint defenses
• Analyze security research and identify opportunities for product improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Prototype and validate new techniques in controlled lab environments, producing clear documentation and recommendations

Required qualifications

• Strong experience in cybersecurity research, offensive security, or related disciplines
• Deep curiosity about adversary operations and security team responses
• Working knowledge of Windows internals and common post-exploitation concepts
• Experience in controlled lab environments for testing and validating technical behaviors
• Ability to analyze technical research and translate findings into product recommendations
