Senior Cytogenetics Technologist

Job Summary

Supporting daily laboratory operations remotely, the full-time Senior Cytogenetics Technologist will perform high-quality FISH analysis, conduct technical reviews, and coordinate workflow while ensuring excellence in quality and turnaround time.

Key responsibilities

• Determine specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 4 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
• Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems
